Great looking fly! It should fish as well and have a 40 to 60% hook up ratio like my T.W. Sand Shrimp pattern. It is my go to pattern when fishing top water flies for sea-run cutthroat. It only takes a couple of minutes to tie the pattern.

The flat bottom foam head will allow the pattern to have a great v-wake as it skates across the water surface. IMHO tube flies are the great when fishing top water patterns since it is easier to release fish since the pattern will often slide up the line when landing a sea-un cutthroat. Thus you only have to deal with a small hook during release of a fish. Often the hook will fall out if the fish is netted. Also it is easier to change out a new hook.

After you have used your pattern, let use know how it worked especially the hook up ratio.
