I’m not sure it has a name, just some generic damselfly I whipped up.
I went backpacking in the Trinity alps a few weekends ago with a friend and we found an alpine lake with 18” browns and FAT 16” brook trout, and pretty much all they were eating were adult damselflies. And of course, I had exactly one adult damselfly pattern with me that I gave to my friend. Time to reload!
Ha, I wasn’t sandbagging, I honestly don’t know and wondered if you do, or if it was in one of your references.
Thanks, doubt I’ll be tracking it down but if anyone out there has it and/or knows the story, I am curious. Maybe it’s just an abbreviation because “Memphramagog” is so darn long a word!
I vaguely recall they are different lakes in Maine. Often lakes had a pretty local pattern, named after the lake. My family had a summer camp on Winnepesaukee, we fished the Winnepesaukee Smelt pattern pretty hard. Pretty sure I fished Magog back in the day.
One day as I fished Lake Magog
I set into what felt like a log

So I lied and said “Memphramagog”

This one is a tad small (sz4) to get attention from the 'hos. When I'm looking for silvers on top, I'm usually throwin' something about 3 times the size.
