shoulder - golden pheasant gold/red body dyed chartreuse (1 Tbs Rit Neon Yellow/1 cup water)
wing - deer hair

More basics for summer runs. Now that I’m looking at them I think less hackle will be better.

The little stores up the N Umpqua had some heavily hackled during the 70s/80s. I suspect they were for winter fishing in larger sizes.

I hate biot tails on copper johns. I think you just solved a dilemma I've had for a while. I can see the tail I wanna try. That's a great tie as is though.
