Is this too long for a typical midsummer sandlance?

Cut it down and tried again. Added some pearl ice dub under a thinned chenille, added black flash antenna. Still think that hook looks big (~sz. 1).

I'm so glad I suck at taking pics....or maybe it's the tying side of things. . This is nearly a copy of the olive one but on a bad hair day. It'll swim just fine, but damn those couple of stray hairs!

I did use trash panda instead of Marabou though cause I couldn't find any decent white Marabou.

I’d tie in 2” and 3” body too and you’d be set. Maybe do some with a greater hint of pink and/or chart too but they look great. I’d think of tying stinger versions too if they get nipped as the season goes on. Great work!
