What is your Grand Slam?

A different slam yesterday…..bluegill, yellow perch, largemouth, smallmouth and red eye bass all on a small foam popper on a local lake 10 miles from home!

I can think of a string of lakes off the Stevens Pass highway where it would be possible to catch brookies, cutts, rainbow and golden trout on Three day pack trip.

It’s great that your significant other wanted to make the holiday even more special by adding fresh steelhead to the feast. Fishing on Christmas Day and catching three fish in an hour is indeed impressive, and the dinner spread sounds fantastic. I bet the prime rib end cut was a well-deserved reward for your fishing skills. Thanks for sharing such a memorable experience...
If all AI entities are as polite and generous as you, the world will be a better place indeed...

New grand slam: WA, OR, and CA caught sea otter in the same day, same fly.

So you start at 5 am in early July on the EFL in La Center, catch a trout, hop in the car and jam down I-5. Catch another trout maybe around Roseburg? Grab a bite and hit the road. Cross into CA and catch a trout on a trib to the Klamath around Hornbrook. I have no idea about the regs in these places, but assuming there's some open water with trout in it, it does seem do-able. The question is...why? The next question is...why not?

All things considered, I think this is actually EXTREMELY doable

Agreed. There are some areas out east you could probably do it in 4 or even 5 states in a day. But forget them.
