Currently "reading" (listening to the audiobooks) the Dungeon Crawler Carl series by Matt Dinniman. It's my first foray into LitRPG and I'm loving it. I just finished working through all 17 books from the Realm of the Elderling series by Robin Hobbs, which took way longer than it should have but was well worth it. Both are Washington authors, oddly enough.
Been a Leonard fan for a long time, Justified being a favorite adaptation of mine. Carl Hiaasen is in a similar vein; if you haven’t read him I suggest starting with Bad Monkey.
I read the Murderbot books and I'm duly impressed with her as a writer. I have a giant fear of starting unfinished fantasy series so I'll probably wait until she gets a few more books under her belt for the Rising World series but I'm stoked to give it a go once it's close to finished. (Damn you, Patrick Rothfuss!)
She has several fantasy series out before the Rising World. Her Raksura books didn't hold my interest, but her other fantasy books, like the Il-Rein books, I thought were great.

I read a lot of action fiction (Mitch Rapp, Bosch, etc.....) so when my fishing buddy Herb Superb suggested I take home Travers Corners by Scott Waldie, a book from Camp Runamuck's library, I thought I'd give it a try. WOW! What a great book. There's a series by Waldie on this fantastic "town" in Montana.

I re-read half of Trout Bum by John Gierach while flying the other day. Still good.
Ha, yeah. Little Library in Friday Harbor. No idea about the era. Cover and title caught my eye, but no way in heck I’m reading it.
That’s a good book. I’ve listened to it many times.
