For some reason this Wicked Game brought the following to mind; not sure if it ever made it in the States (banned in many places), but it was huge in Quebec in 1969. Originally written for his then girlfriend, one Brigitte Bardot, Serge Gainsbourg later recorded this version with Jane Birkin.

Don't recall hearing it here in the states. Others may have. Do remember hearing it in Luxembourg, Germany and France when I was stationed there. Mostly it was an "old peoples song" played late in the evening.
