Saw them at Springers Ballroom in ‘70, iirc admission was $3. Great show!

Yeah the concert tickets were a few bucks for waiting in the line queue for quite a while. I recall waiting on the sidewalk outside the old Paramount for a few hours in 72 or 73 to see Wishbone Ash for $4 I think. In 74 inflation jacked up ticket prices for Pink Floyd DSOTM quad to $6

As far as I can recall blues rock began with Canned Heat

Don't know there was any one that was the first, there was a group that arose together, largely in the UK when folks like Muddy Waters and Big Bill Broonzy went over there. Think the late an under appreciated Mr. Long John Baldry was among them, saw him several times in Vancouver, ale=ways a great show.

JJ Cale, I just love to strum this on my guitar.

I have loved this song for 50+ years. Had I had a daughter, she would have been named Magnolia (Maggie), after this beautiful love song. Sadly, never had a daughter, but your Golden is named Magnolia (Maggie) Bodelia.
