What Are You Eating?

For the last few days, we have been enjoying the last of the fresh Winter Puget Sound Dungeness crab we caught on New Year's Eve, just by itself; or with lemon aioli, arugula salad and mac and cheese with merken (south american smoked chili peper); or in a queso fresco omelette with arugula, chives, avocado and tartar sauce; some still left for crab cakes but the family is asking for a bit of a crab break.... me, I can't wait till the summer crab opener! 🦀

Dungeness crabcake time! Caramelized broccoli, avocado, arugula and homemade aioli mayo with a touch of cayenne and tapatio to finish the first week of 2023! 🦀

Japanese curry with lamb over steamed rice and barley.

I forgot to add that I did tweak the original recipe a bit. Added some harissa, ras el hanout, and sherry marinated dried cherries and currants. I made the curry roux a month ago and froze what I didn’t use back then.
