What Are You Eating?

Breakfast can look a bit different here. Soy marinated horse crab.

Accompanied by kimchi jjigae, my ultimate Korean comfort food. This one was particularly good.

Lunch at Mongtan, widely regarded as some of the best KBBQ in Seoul. Aged beef short rib, cooked over a straw fire and finished tableside on the grill. Incredibly tender and delicious.

Truffle steamed egg, fermented soybean paste stew, and beef tartare.

And wrapped up with naengmyeon, a cold buckwheat noodle soup.

Lots of amazing food and quality family time this trip. Back to the states tomorrow.

Liver
Herring

🤣

Old people food.
You can probably get the Senior Special of Liver and Onions at the local Cafe Thursday for 14.99...comes with Green Beans (actually more of an olive grey, but I digress) and a roll.

You described the Poodle Dog in Fife perfectly.
I once tried ordering liver and onions there at 4:00 in the afternoon and they said they were sold out! Damn blue hairs eating dinner at 3:00 did me wrong. 😂

I like liver and onions IF correctly prepared. That means removing the membrane often still on and soak in milk overnight. Wife won’t cook it so I don’t get it often.
Used to love chicken livers until someone mentioned the liver is the bodies filter and store bought chicken is raised on chemical laden feed; no thanks.
Still eat kippered herring, my Dad’s favorite breakfast was kippers and porridge.

It takes a while to learn the Senior tricks...but with practice you'll get there...
Dinner at 3:30 is easy during the 'Big Dark', in fact preferable, no driving home in the dark.
🙂🤣🙂

deep fried chicken livers and gizzards with a side of jojo and a pint of chocoate milk...great late night, missed dinner because i had to work really late, meal.

Fried livers are a given but fried gizzards and hearts are both highly underrated in my opinion.

Gizzards a pigs foot, and some pickled eggs...eaten while sitting at the bar.
Wash it all down with a few cold beers, not fancy micros, but old fashioned American lager beer from a regional brewery...well those don't exist much anymore, but you get the idea.
