What Are You Eating?

@jasmillo - he's asking for a friend and I too am asking for a friend. My wife's cooking clam chowder tonight (with clams and bacon).

Did you put the smoked tuna in the chowder along with the salmon?

Not this batch because I wanted that tuna for sandwiches. I have in the past though and it is delicious.

My wife and I just ate chowder again tonight.
Second day chowder is even better than day 1!
 
Went back to the Pork Saltimbocca, but changed things up with some upgraded pork, better marsala and improved local sides...lot to like here on this one for us good Fall eats.
Did probably the last harvest of things today, beans, peppers, apples... a lot of stuff came in from the late plantings. Only the winter crops and root veggies, green tomatoes, and late squash are left, good meal after a busy day of garden work for sure.
Washed it down with a nice Chianti.

Smoking a 4lb brisket in the Ninja Woodfire right now.

Rubbed with kosher salt, black pepper, brown sugar and a bit of turmeric and left in the fridge overnight. Then Rinsed off and reapplied the rub before dropping it into the Ninja.

Sides still to be determined but suggested mac n cheese, ranch style beans, a salad or a vegetable of some sort.

Potato leek soup, scallops, golden beets & broccolini
Haven't had potato leek soup in ages, but I like it. Also like scallops and beets, but have never had golden ones. Are they different from red ones, besides the color, that is? What wine did you have with that meal? Costco didn't have any box chardonnay the other day, so I've run low on white.
