What are the 5 most important and most used materials in your flies?

I'm a very basic tyer. I like simple body materials that look "buggy", variegated feathers that suggest movement, subtle flash and contrast.

I often substitute olive ice dubbing for peacock herl to get more durability with a similar holographic appearance. I also think it looks even more buggy if picked out and as fish start chewing on it.

I also use holographic glitter fingernail polishes as head cement in various colors to match or add hotspots
 
Tungsten beads (various sizes, Bronze color is my favorite)
Cigar foot wrappers (various colors)
Sewing thread (various colors)
Freezer bag and Sharpies (various colors)
Camo Yarn, four strand.
 
For trout nymphs:

tung bead…various colors, sizes
partridge skin
dark dun cdc
brassie size amber wire
pearl flashabou

I have to add a 6th, but it’s an either/or deal….pheasant tail, or hares mask for the body.

I think my three favorite things are a good partridge skin….a good hares mask, and cdc.

I was limited to 5...and PB is in short supply.
Buying scraps from fly shops and garage sales (got a big peanut butter jar of it decades ago, still using it) only goes so far in life.
Gotta have the perfect body construction before breaking it out for a traditional pattern.
I use my white and orange on Coquihalla series flys for instance.
