My first impulse would be to offer a lending hand! Not snap pics.
I did just that. He turned me down and also turned down offers from two others. I don't know what they told him, but I offered to load that plywood in my truck and drive to his house. He mentioned that he had 100' of rope and as I ate my lunch watching him I think he was determined to use it all.

Mote rope, more knots...
Always works

You are a good man sir!

That "may" qualify as an unsecured load, which would risk a few hundred dollars ticket, or a few thousands and even jail time in case of property damage...hope he mande it home! Worse mistakes were made tying stuff up, saving distances and magnitude of risk, it reminds me of an episode of Mayday I watched recently, the one about the crash of the transport 747 in Bragram Airfield due to improper use of straps and tie downs and resulting shifting cargo, cause of crash explained at 39 mins 25 secs of the video below:

This reminded me of something that I saw in early July, I thought I'd spotted it on here but I guess I forgot to.

Dave

Imagine driving a truck with 4 x 4 boxes of whisky stacked 5 boxes high all wrapped in clingfilm with no ties. I was 1 car behind it today on Leary…Add in a shade of road rage/gamesmanship where the road went from two to one lane for roadworks, some hard braking to avoid a crash, and the tower tipped forward, then as the driver hit the gas (fool!!!) it leaned waaay back and then went, kaboom off the back, disaster, never heard glass smashing like it. My inner redneck bawled😀

Immediately did a u-y and got the out of there traffic would have been hell for hrs. My math notes up to 240 bottles were ‘compromised’, a true belter. Right after the statue place on the south side where the city have build the massive storm chamber as you head east.

Have known a few AF loadmasters over the years. They would have never allowed that to happen.
