Vintage Rod Question

PstMacteeer

Freshly Spawned
In younger years I was given an Eagle Claw Wright & McGill fishing rod. I recently ran across it in my basement and am wondering what I exactly have, Was it a good rod? Bass Rod? The markings say: Favorite 6 1/2, Worm Rod, BFlex.

It was never used and It's time for it to see water. What present day reel would be well matched for it?

Thank you.

What do the eyes look like. Bait casting style or snake guides. That should answer all your questions. It's probably just a spinning rod. I've probably had that same rod in my younger years.

Looks like it's made with drift fishing in mind (worms, etc.), particularly in small water. Neat rod, whatever it is.

Put an older Mitchell 300 on it, spool with 12# mono, and rig your rubber worms texas style.
