oh, the Joe Rogan of the (many times debunked) Ivermectin as a treatment? or the Joe Rogan of the "Mental Disorders Don't Exist"? or is it the Joe Rogan of the "Alex Jones Has Gotten Many Things Right"? or is it the anti-vax Joe Rogan? (There are loads of more things that he's really fucking nuts about....I'd list them, but I really don't have the time or energy) GTFO. Hopefully this thread gets locked because there's some serious conspiracy (proven) bullshit starting to crop up.
just because you don't believe something doesn't make it a conspiracy , everything is in the reign of possibility's these days

Disagree...
Everything is not in the 'reign' of possibilities' these day, not even in the realm of possibilities.
Is there a lot of bs tossed out there for clicks and podcast fodder ?
Sure

Is a lot of that stuff garbage peddled to folks who are sure there's 'secrets they don't want you to know' ?
Absolutely

Who gets their facts from that jackass ?
Dolts

It's straight out of the autocrat/strongman playbook.
'The world is confusing, it's hard to know what's true, everyone is lying. So trust me to be a strong leader and take care of things'

It's as old as can be, just find someone to blame for the country's ills and your good to go.

I'm concerned about the rise of the "nothing is true, everything could be true" mindset. Maybe it has always been around, but the internet makes it more noticeable?
may people these days are doubting their own beliefs

Accomplishes? Not much. It's just the free exchange of ideas.. a freedom not everyone has..
That’s fine Rob, and I support free speech and A2 and all the rest. But it just seems a waste, none of y’all are military or geopolitical experts...at least not that I know of. So feel free to keep chatting, my question has been answered.

I posted this when I started this thread but it obviously got lost in the shuffle.
My daughter lives and works in Berlin. A coworker from Ukraine sent these interesting facts to her.
This is meant to be informative and not to start a pissing match.

I, for one, have and continue to learn alot from the contributions of others.
As this conflict continues it would be a shame if a few of you manage to put this thread in the toilet.

That mindset has been around forever. It is widely used in politics by all parties. Given technology I think it's likely to get a lot worse very rapidly. I think you're concern is very well placed

We are searching for the definitive answer which we will never achieve until it is revealed by time.

Twitter for all its faults can be a great way to follow events “real-time.” I’ve been (probably too obsessively) following this feed that aggregates numerous Ukraine-related accounts in media and academia (lol that should scare a few folks away). No doubt most accounts show a pro-Ukraine bias, but hey, fuck Russia.

Stay informed, y’all.

Hence, unplug and view more objectively…it works (at least I believe it does)

Thank you for this link!

Information…and disinformation…is the new “battle tactic”….amplified by today’s information venues (particularly, the electronic versions).

People who say ‘just asking questions’ when confronted w their bs, are usually intentionally seeking to infect others brains w questions to sow fear uncertainty and doubt FUD. Not innocent, such ‘just asking questions’

J
E.g., Tulsi Gabbard.
