While the more recent discussions have been entertaining, and occasionally informative, I have to say I'm looking forward to this thread returning to a more timely and relevant tack.

There's just too much at stake, and too much information to process. I've found the perspectives here useful in sorting this all out.

OK this was pretty informative on Russian history and their relationship to the truth.

Worth seeing and reading the translation all the way to the end

We talked about Ukraine vs the Ukraine in English.

Here is a whole essay on it as well as the difference between na Ukraine in Russian compared to v Ukraine

Putin says na Ukraine and news media mistranslate it.

Even more basic science.. if you do not test it you do not know.. invermictin is not being used as a cure it's being used to treat covid symptoms and it's the symptoms that kills people. At least that's my understanding.
My understanding is that it was used to offset the increased risk of parasites due to the use of dexamethasone in third world countries without clean water. IE a steroid decreases bodies ability to fight off parasites but also decreases lung inflammation which is beneficial for fighting off covid. In a third word country without clean water this leads to an increased risk of worms so ivermectin was used to offset this....

Overdosing here was an actual problem as a lot of people can not convert a horse dose of dewormer to a average size male/female...math skills failed them

I did the same thing that got me thru the 70’s, watch what everybody else took wait a hour ,if they are still alive take half of what they did. The old math ratio problems were never my strong suit .

Putin is 69.
Musk is 50.

My money is on Musk.

His judo skills are not enough to protect his fragile bones.

for fuk's sake, we fought the covid and political wars ad nauseum on the former site, so could we just leave that crap out on this one thread?
While Ukraine is getting blasted apart, we're living in a country where freedom is so strong, we allow folks to protest against the very country that gave them their freedoms to do so.

Hell, we even allow gutless trolls to play armchair warrior with zero consequences other than a strained face muscle from too much smirking....

That was a good article, thanks. The use of "the" Ukraine was put into overdrive by Stalin in the 1930s to further crush the Ukrainian spirit, cultural identity and ethnic pride. He did this while murdering them, stealing their land and grain and deliberately starving millions of them to death.

Russians have long persecuted Ukrainians over many centuries and by referring to them as a region rather than a country, it insults them and reinforces Putin's rhetoric that Ukraine "isn't a real country, it is our creation." Which is bullshit. The actual seat of Russian culture comes FROM Kyiv, which was a thriving city for many hundreds of years before Moscow was founded.
