Thanks. I've been out of the tuna game for 6 years but that wasn't a "typical" fly when I was flyfishing for Tuna. It looks great, but my only concern is that artificial material tends to bind up to other materials when there's underlying turbulence but I'm sure you have that figured out.The fly is a typical tuna fly. The extension and spinner blade are atypical.
I appreciate Lou’s experiment and report. Would flash work just as well? Who’s to say until you try something. Tuna have large eyes and sensitive lateral lines. And maybe it was gonna pay to have a fly with a flappy metal giblet in the back.
