The Stonedfish/Bambooflyguy monthly lake dry fly challenge!

Well folks…..one more month left in the challenge! Looks like I’m still in the “pole” position for the $2,500 cash prize! BST in second, Phil in third and Lue bringing up the rear. Not sure if the sponsors are contributing next year…..might be one and done. Next month will really be “the real challenge!!!”

Local lake blue floaty hole with an orange bodied para-loop emerger.
December is mine. Oh wait, it's dang cold, drizzle misty crap and rain.
Almost no bite and super finicky fish that disappear with barely any sound or rod movement.
Man, I can't wait for spring.

It’s official…..on the board for December! Not red hot but what a great weather day between the storms. 2/4 on the midge emerger, decent midge hatch, few sippers could’ve been more targets but I’m not complaining at all! I fished from 12:45-3:35 when it started to sprinkle I said GE! Forgot to mention it was glass calm!!

Got out between wind gusts for a couple of hours. Cold but not too bad…..went 1/7 on sight casting midge emergers. Not a good hook up ratio but getting sipping fish to hit in mid December rocks!!
I thought you might make it out today! Nice work.
I was out on Saturday when it was sunny just to float the new boat. I was at Lake Morton and there was so much junk in the water I didn't bother getting the rod out.

Looks like a good one! Good thing you have that 100lb bite leader. 😁
Haha yeah I know there’s foreshortening happening with the pic but it does look like a 4X 7.5’ leader that’s been through 17 fly changes.
