This is Chucks knife he got from Marines. I don't know all the detail except he used it earlier in his career. You can see the military clip built in sheath.

Edit. Chuck had a couple of his Ka Bar Marine knives too.

I didn’t know what I wanted, so I handled a lot of knives. I said I was looking to spend around a hundred bucks but open to seeing models above that, for comparison, you know. I started off looking at some Spydercos, stayed away from the Benchmades, and came home with a Sinkevich Zero Tolerance 0450. I handled some really cool knives priced another couple hundo beyond what I paid. That’s a store I don’t need to go into too often. It’s somewhat disturbingly easy to get to from my house. But I did like it!

Benchmade has some very nice folders and I have some . But they are very spendy. I really like SOG and they are my favorite. Somewhere at the bottom of the Gilbert boat ramp is a 200 dollar Benchmade that I dropped . I went swimming for it but no luck. The water was not warm. I wonder how all these knife makers can make it. A lot of competition. Benchmade , CRKT , Leatherman , SOG , Gerber , Swiss Army , Kai, Kirshaw and a lot more .
 
I recently sent one of my benchmades back to them for a factory edge reset. It had developed a fairly nasty rough spot and I was curious how the program worked. For $10, they send all the packaging, just drop your knife in and drop off at a fed ex. It took about 2.5 weeks to get it back, but the rough spot was completely fixed.

I compared the new edge to a very new bug out I have, and it wasn't quite as sharp as the brand new factory edge, but still pretty good - probably better than I could've gotten it. Definitely less work. If you can afford the down time or don't have your own sharpening system, something to consider if you have a benchmade.
