The original knife thread.

Wow, not sure how I’ve missed this thread but it’s right up my alley. As if fishing isn’t expensive enough? πŸ˜‚

I’m a collector of Chris Reeve knives as well as Laconico adn a few Mayo and Pena knives. I see a some Chris Reeve and Laconico/MBK knives here. Nice!

This is most of the Chris Reeve collection and a few of my Laconicos.

yep, you definitely need these pants

After handling @Evan B 's Civivi Elementum II at the swap meet, I had to get one. Really nice quality and not much heavier than my Opinel No. 7. Fun to fidget with! I like that I can open and close it with one hand, unlike my Opinel. May be my new edc.

Remington pen knife (R6465 circa 1933-35). If you look carefully, you can still see some of the original blade etch on the master. It' the little details like this and the high quality celluloid scales, nickel silver pins and excellent fit and finish that have made this one a favorite.

Bear with me as I work through most of my oldies. This one is an AW Wadsworth and Sons pen knife out of Germany. I suspect late 20s to early 30s. It's larger than most in this pattern and the celluloid scales are often referred to as 'goldstone'. The lighter is a Thorens out of Switzerland. They also made some nice turntables back in the day.

No "bearing with you" about it! I'm really enjoying this look at your fine collection!

A pair of Iroquois pen knives. Iroquois was a house brand or sub brand of Utica (Kutmaster fame), but most literature states that the brand only existed from 1930 to 1940. Most likely a depression era business move. The lower knife is nicer in quality and is probably earlier.
