I put one on. He's done the section before. 20" wheels don't leave a lot of room for error in the rocks.I've been hitting a few trails on my fatbike. Quite a workout but it's extremely surefooted and forgiving.
Just topped off the sealant in my HT tires and intend to ride a bit tomorrow. So damn hot I'll have to hit the trails early.
Does your son have a dropper post on that bike...a dropper significantly reduces the chance of an OTB on a steep downhill.
Nope, they don't.I put one on. He's done the section before. 20" wheels don't leave a lot of room for error in the rocks.
It's a right of passage. Glad you guys had a good trip!Dad left a little skin on one of the trails.
It's funny when you first start everyone just tells you how fun it is. After almost a year of being around it you find out how many times everyone has broken their collar bone. Walking around Whistler you see plenty of people in fresh casts. He loves it though and it's his one thing where he feels completely in control and confident. So we accept the risk to let him be happy. We might be more tolerant of it than some parents but it starts with rolling off a curb and quickly becomes 12' doubles. It's a right of passage. Glad you guys had a good trip!
