Spent the weekend in Shelton volunteering and watching race cars go fast. Yes I realize my video panning skills suck but I think you get the idea. Sound turned up for max effect!

Before my time but I can only imagine!Man, I miss watching the Group B rally cars flying through the logging roads around Shelton back in the mid '80's. Insanity on four wheels. We spent many days and nights following them from stage to stage when they came to town.
Before my time but I can only imagine!
If you happen to find yourself in Portland/The Dalles over May 16-18, the Oregon Trail Rally is the next event on the ARA calendar. https://oregontrailrally.com/Ugh.... I was over in Shelton this weekend, if I would have known I would have paid a visit.

Once you've paid with the actual arm and leg, their initial offer seemed more reasonable....It took more than a few weekends. I wasn't going to pay the crazy money the pros wanted, so I borrowed some climbing tools and had help from a few friends. Watched hours and hours of videos. My wife told me I was full on crazy.
I beat the shit out of my body. The stress and lost days, In the long run....it really wasn't worth it.
Almost done. I did damage the overhanging porch roof, but it's rotted and needed repaired.View attachment 149473View attachment 149474

I am too old for this s***. Now I'm wearing a knee brace, wrist brace and my shoulders really worn out. I think my body aged a few years during this stunt.
The wife was right!

I'll see if I can find a pic this evening.Hem- Can we see the juicy fly/lure that fish took?
Wow, what a crappy series of unfortunate events! Sorry to hear that and best wishes for a speedy recovery!OK, my turn.
Friday night while having an evening bourbon, I managed to flip an ice cube out of the glass an onto the floor beside my chair. Leaning over the arm of the chair (mission oak) as far as I could, the cube was just at my finger tips. Increased effort of perhaps a foot pound more pressure, I dislocated the lowest rib! HOLY SH*T. Major pain.
If that wasn't bad enough, went to a Garage Sale Saturday morning about 7:45 am. Tripped on something sticking out from under a table and did a "cartoon face plant" on the concrete floor. I went down fast and hard.
Cut my foot on whatever tripped me, Bounced my forehead of the deck splitting my eyebrow open and bloodied my nose. Wrenched my left shoulder socket, sprained my left wrist, and bashed my "already waiting for knee replacement" left knee!

I imagine that for a lot of us (myself included) the very real danger that gravity poses outweighs the humor.Wow, what a crappy series of unfortunate events! Sorry to hear that and best wishes for a speedy recovery!
