The "How was your weekend?" thread...

Beautiful weather! Our daughter and her family went to Dodger Stadium last night; rain delay (they got soaked) AND, didn't get to see Shohei.

For us old folks, yard work again today.
It is back to running errands and yardwork for me today as well.

Leaking oil cooler was quoted at $1300, 4 hours later I did it myself. Dam Italian engineers had to put one bolt behind the ac compressor mount to make it a fun job.

“To get one step forward you must go three steps back” - some VM Motori Engineer said laughing

Oh, and a coolant bypass tube replacement but the Mopar part now looks like a toddler carved out the inside. The plastic that sluffed off with a simple finger poke had me looking elsewhere. So I ordered an aftermarket from a diesel performance shop in Mexico.

Plus a coolant flush and oil change with my previous oil coming back from analysis at Blackstone Labs w/o any coolant and below average engine wear!

EcoDiesel got some love this weekend.

Thank you Buzzy 👍 Enjoyed doing it in the sun while listening to the mariners. I must of spent an hour just looking for my inverted torx sockets 🤦‍♂️ second time ever using them. Time to get a big rolling toolbox to hold everything so I don’t have to open tubs.

Wrapped up turkey hunting and did some lake fishing on Saturday. Boated 5 pike.
Hem, are pike a CNR fishery, or do you take them as table fare? I ask because my only experience catching them was on a multi-day float trip in AK. And I released them. I also learned that their slime stinks and sticks to your hands. That kinda' decreased my interest in finding out if they are good for eating.

Fish are slimy, pike are really slimy.🤣
But to answer your question I think they are great to eat. Many people prefer walleye, which is outstanding, but for me pike are a close second. Takes a different approach to remove the meat.
Maybe this year I will try pickling.
Since I rarely kill trout, it's nice to bring home dinner once in awhile. Unfortunately I only fish pike a few times in the Spring .

This weekend i enjoy a lot but not related fish This weekend I celebrate my mother and father anniversary . I enjoy a lot with family member and evening time i watch movie

Weekend started yesterday, empty house of furniture, tape off walls, windows, cover floor. Spray 2 coats of ceiling paint. Today was finish hall bath remodel, pull drums, install new bearings, seals. Oh yeah, finish staining the porch structure I started yesterday waiting for paint to dry.
