Dunk only, I gave up splitting years ago. When I was young, I vacillated between the twist and slide.

Now for the dunkers, to what depth do you dunk? For how long? Single dunk or double dunk?

I dunk the entire cookie using chopsticks and eat in 1 bite. Approximately 12 second submersion time

I like to dunk for as long as possible.

Back when I still ate such sugary things, my routine used to be to pour a large glass of milk for dunking. I'd take 3 or 4 cookies and drop them in the milk before I started dunking. That way at the end when I drank the milk down the bottom of the glass was filled with soggy Oreo. That was my favorite part.

Chopsticks is one technique I never considered. I like your style!

These oreo researchers are thorough. The "double stuff issue" is fully addressed.

"This is consistent for cookies with different creme levels, with a strong bias toward wafers facing one side of the box rather than the other, facing left for regular, right for double, and up for mega (where rows are oriented vertically rather than horizontally) in standard size packages."

Curious how everyone feels about the various flavors of Oreos? Myself I was always a die hard double stuff guy. Many of the flavors they came out with were very appealing on the surface....Mint, PB etc. But they always came up short when I actually tried them.

For my money give me the plain old OG double stuffed every time.

While the exact Oreo recipe is still a secret, some industry secrets leaked to the public during an incident in 2014.

Long story short—an American landed a 15-year prison sentence after releasing the Oreo formula to a Chinese company for a cool 28 million dollar payout.

TBH I could do without any Oreo cream, which coats my tongue in that weird, unpleasant hydrogenated manner, especially if you scrape it off with your teeth prior to eating the cookie. That's why I don't bother with splitting. The cream is only good if it's cut with chocolate cookie.

This is why Walmart private label brand oreo knockoff are actually quite similar and pretty good, way cheaper too. A little more crumbly then real oreos.

@_WW_ , you and I just would not get along - growing up in Canada, my favorite cookie was fruit creams (picture below) - I would eat the cookie all around the central fruit, one small bite at a time, then the piece de resistance, the central jam filling went down in one bite - slow and steady - then get back to fishing.

Ha! I can't wait to brutalize that cookie. Honestly though, on my cookie list your fruit cremes are below anything with chocolate. Cookies without chocolate are a culinary abomination and if there was any justice in this world they would be banned and on the WHO list of things not to be consumed!
Your body, your choice. May God have mercy on your soul!

In general I am in complete agreement. But homemade snickerdoodles, fresh and soft are the greatest cookies every made.

But yeah, fruit and cookies....screw that nonsense.

Youse guys are way ahead, and I’ve learned a lot of potent chit. I’m jus proud this August consortium has taken on something truly impotent. Gud on yawl!

I was a snob and only would buy the product called "Mystic Mints," which were Oreos with a mint chocolate coating. I ascertained that this was the case by licking, in a controlled, fashion with redundant repetition to guarantee statistical significance, the chocolate coating off to reveal the name "Oreo" embossed in the wafer beneath. The stuffing was also carefully sampled independently, after rinsing the palette, to confirm that there was no mint in the cream. I think they now make a mint oreo, but I have not yet been able to obtain federal funding to conduct the proper experiments to test whether the mint is in the cream or the wafer.

My #1 is my wife's Chocolate Chip. #1A is my daughter's Chocolate Chip. #1B is my other daughter's Chocolate Chip.
#2 is Nutter Butters
#3 Is Oreos
#5478 Fruit Cremes from Canada

Which daughter comes first🤔? (gotta think of some way to get back at ya :) )

My #1 cookie is the Royal Romance. Outside of the home made German noodles, the best thing mom could cook. She wasn’t bad at a few things, but like most women of that era she wasn’t inspired. It was drudge work they were expected to do, not something they enjoyed. Dad was from German woots so she learned noodles custard and kraut to survive. She was a great mom, but only mediocre in the kitchen.

I was always a (my grandma and my mom) homemade raisin cookies guy, and then fell in love with soft molasses cookie and now my wife has swayed me towards the snickerdoodle... and those chocolate chip that @_WW_ 's wife made were great! The Gravel Lot cookie swap was great!

My favorite cookie is my own oatmeal chocolate chip made with extra chocolate chips and double the butter. Literally melt in my mouth. You all will never know. I don’t think one cookie has made it out of the house and likely one never will.
