Despised 9ers executive Paraag Marathe is calling the shots again. No mercy.

Niners went all in on the payroll four years ago and didn't finish the job, so now time to offload salary cap hell.
Aside from Juice, many of those cut have had season ending injuries, some had crap training camps last year, couple held out, few showed up out of condition, overall the D line has been weak for two years, aside from spurts from Bosa. With Saleh back, focus will be on rebuilding the D starting with the line. And many of those let go were originally mid round draft picks, couple were undrafted. Lynch and crew have proven adept at picking.

9ers and c-hawks lead in dead cap spending so far.

Yay! We're out of the top 5 in dead cap!

49ers later this week...

They'll be looking at last year and their 6 wins and be green with envy this time next year...

Meanwhile, Seahawks bolster the D line rotation, and pick up a WR.

12 of their BEST players? Last time I checked they still have:

CMC
Fred Warner
T Williams
The better Bosa
Kittle
Purdy
All current or former pro bowlers.

They resigned Lenoir. A bunch of last years draft look to be long term answers. They have a ton of draft picks this year and a fairly high draft position.

Losing Greenlaw and not getting the other Bosa hurts(maybe depending on health). They need to sign some D line help, which is why I'm surprised they let Floyd go.

Yes, they are eating a lot of dead money this year. Get it over with rather than take a hit every year. Weak schedule, let the rooks and sophomores play. If things are coming together make a mid-season trade for a edge rusher. If not come back in 2026 younger and with cap room.

FYI, Vegas odds for 2026 SB win:
Niners +1500
Rams +2100
Cards +4700
Hawks +4800

Posting odds like those explains why Vegas hauls in so much cash from the betting public.

Lynch and Shanahan have proven they can find draft picks (have 10 this year, some compensatory) throughout the rounds to fit their scheme, and they still have some core studs on the team. Wouldn't be surprised, however, if McCaffrey get's off-loaded as well while their at it. Some good D-linemen in this years draft, which is loaded with edge rushers, expect the Niners will grab their share.
Meanwhile, let's recognize those fully engaged owners just raring to make much needed trade deals...

With the Eagles and Commanders at the top of the NFC and likely to stay there a couple of years now is the time to rebuild.

9ers bring in Mac Jones to press Purdy
gotta have a competent back QB on a team these days, why 'Pornstar Jimmy' is getting 10M to backup Stafford.
Eagles lost their best pass rusher and CB to other teams paying them bank.
Bears and Commanders appear to be winning the 'trade season' so far.
WTH has happened to the Steelers, their QB situation just a mess, 'the standard' apparently not so much these days
