I prefer to not read all the Monday morning 'should of, would of, missed it, stuff. That is all history, can't change history. Seahawks won far in square. Remember this game for what it was/is: Seattle won SB 60!

I actually loved the fact that there were so few flags.....didn't see too much egregious stuff (outside of the instance that was already mentioned)
 
I'm sure there were uncalled penalties, but glad the laundry stayed in the pockets for the most part.

Hi - I believe the Hawks special teams coordinator is a Harbaugh. The o line coach’s name escaping me at moment, but I don’t believe he is a Harbaugh. I do believe the o line coach feels frustrated at times watching game film and seeing the right guard miss blocks….

The Pats O-line should have tried holding. At some point, just start holding.

Yeah you could split this irrespective of time zone, the US center of population, east vs west, has shifted west relentlessly since 1800, so west of the current line- 9 football teams, half of the US population; East, 21 teams half of the population. Basically right on the line you have Minneapolis, KC; maybe New Orleans.

So if you say there is an East Coast bias, and East Coast is East of the Population center of the USA, well it is because there are more stories to be told if you have 20 teams on the East side of the line. 2:1 stories are gonna be East Coast, no way you can avoid it....

And those talking heads, Collinsworth etc, they need dumb, simple stories. Like is Darnold still gonna be a Turkey when he hasn't been one in years. Whereas the opposite story, you get a bunch of guys who are consistently good, maybe not your big name stars, form em into a cohesive unit, well they kick some ass better than assessing a team as simply a couple, maybe a handful of stars. Fantasy football prioritizes starpower, but that's maybe 1/3 of a game....

I mean the real story is NFC West, more specifically how good were those Rams Seahawks games? How did the Rams get so many points, yards, etc and still lose? Our Super Bowl was January 25 and frankly the build for this game (Pats/Hawks) was not near as fun or as interesting (maybe just talking for me there). Realistically, everyone here who cares about the hawks or the Rams has to acknowledge they were the highlight games, by far, of the season, across the entire NFL. And Maybe that Thursday night game- holy smokes, that thing could have gone either way, had the backwards pass fumble recovery not called, maybe no home field advantage, maybe a bunch of godawaful games in awful East coast weather and a bunch of injuries etc etc....

Having watched Maye all year, he was deserving of 1st or 2nd in the MVP voting. He was not throwing to Devante Adams and Puka either. His TD throws weren't from the 1 and 2 yard line. Stafford won it and deserved it bit it's not like Maye's candidacy was without merit. He played all year with 2 rookies guarding his blindside.

The Seahawks defensive line was much much better than the Patriots offensive line. I have seen the Patriots lose a few superbowls over the years. With the exception of the Eagles game when Brady threw for 500 yards, the post 2000 losses have been becasue the opposition was able to pressure the QB with 4 and get home. This is how the Giants did it twice and how the Seahawks did it last night. Tom Brady is not less of a QB due to the Giant losses and Maye isn't due to the loss last night. If you can get home rushing 4, it's difficult to beat your defense. It's a simple game when you dominate up front.

i think Charles should generally feel optimistic about the Pats over the next few years. Solid defense, pieces to build around on the offense, good coaching. They are in a seemingly perennial not-great division (save for the Bills who have Josh Allen but still have some holes). Drake Maye didn’t have a great game but he generally looks very legit and is still on a rookie deal. The Pats ran into a wood chipper yesterday (Hawks D!) but despite that they played hard. I cheer for Bills on the AFC side (underdog!) so pains me to say it but the Pats look like they will be fine.

Bradford, the RG is terrible. He and Woolen are the 2 I would prefer not be back. Bradford does stupid shit that JV high school players do. He’s a waist bender…it’s infuriating…waist benders are always whiffing because they’re always off balance.

I am optimistic. Vrabel has been better than advertised. Maye gives everyone optimism and Campbell was very good prior to his injury.
The Pats could use more talent on offense. They have no elite offensive players other than Maye. No one needs to gameplan for a 31 year old Steph Diggs.
 
Vrabel is a good coach, McDaniels is a good OC.
It seemed like both got out coached by Seattle however, they just never adjusted to the 1st half blitz scheme, and in the 2nd half when the blitz rate was way down, they appeared to be waiting for it every down. That and Maye was frazzled pretty much all day, maybe that shot he got before the game didn't help his shoulder.

Vrabel even said during the post-game presser that he got out-coached. I like him. He seems like a guy the players respond to.
I think coach Mike might be the best half-time adjustment coach right now. We've had some dreadful 1st halves this season that ended up being double-digit wins. Not too many teams can do that.

Speaking of linemen...sure the Pats have some issues, but Bradford has some issues as well. He has times when he doesn't even get hands on guys. So he wouldn't be able hold even if he tried! 😁 Having said that, I saw a couple nice blocks from him last night. And he's decent run blocker. But he doesn't have the feet for pass blocking. Hopefully we upgrade that spot!

Seattle can get pressure with just the front 4 and can also stop the run with those same 4. That enables them to play that umbrella coverage making any windows super tight. All the rest is eye candy.

The Pats didn't play bad. The Niners had a top offense and couldn't score against this D. I'm honestly impressed what the Rams did against them, and thats with the MVP and Puca.

All the talk about Seattle O is silly. Given the amount of 3 and outs their D forces they should be cruising. With a D like that Evan is right, just don't turn the ball over and you win.

Oh definitely there should have been a penalty for that mess, if not a downright ejection. Totally uncalled for.

And the over exuberant fan interjecting himself who got dog piled at the same time? What happened to him ?
