Strange, weird or odd or whatever beach finds thread….

No photos, but the apple hatch was epic today. I must have had at least 25 slowly float by. I have a feeling someone living on a beach nearly was using the sound as their yard recycle bin for the apples that dropped. I know they are biodegradable, but I still prefer not to see them disposed of that way.

I was once on a river in the fall, and saw several apples floating by. Like you, I wondered how they got there. As I made my way upstream, I noticed an apple tree high up on the far bank, a steep bank. It was loaded with fruit. Just then, Splash! An apple fell. Hmm, okay, sez I to myself.

That is a distinct possibility as to how the apples got there.
I once saw someone dump a cardboard box full of apples into the sound at a public access, so that was my thoughts of how they got there. Curbside yard waste recycling pickup also isn’t available in the area I was fishing yesterday.
