Not to be confused with silly logistics (which I have unfortunately been party to on occasion, and which usually involves headlamps and longer than planned floats).

I realized this morning that with other NFR personal plans happening later in Sept/Oct that this weekend might be my only chance this year to target SRC in my local (North PS) rivers. I’ve never floated the lower section of the NF Stillaguamish but know its history for SRC and would like take my 1-man raft on a float from the Lime Quarry put-in to Arlington while it’s open here. Does anyone know of a friendly local or shuttle service?

Alternatively, would anyone be interested in joining?
 
That sounds fun. Might be a little bit of a slog in a raft. I like a canoe.

I can't help with a shuttle per se, but I have a story that might be sort of instructive. TWICE it has happened to me that I have done this float with a friend with a 2nd rig for a shuttle, and TWICE they have left their keys at the put-in. Different guys! The first time, it wasn't too late and there were people around and I found a fisherman to take me up there for 20 bucks. The second time, it was late (see aforementioned low-flow slog), there was nobody around, but I found a driver on either Uber or Lyft to take me up to the put-in for a hundy on a Sunday. (My forgetful buddy paid for that, btw). I dunno, I guess maybe Uber drivers can do a setting where they'll only leave the house for a certain minimum amount? That stung, even if it wasn't my $100.
 
LOL, I would have made the forgetful buddy pay for that $100 Uber too.

I was wondering if it would be an absolute slog at our current low flows. The canoe idea is nice... if I had one. So far as I'm aware that lime quarry put-in is the only one between Cicero and Arlington other than the bridge at Cicero. Which I suppose with my ~40lb raft I could just climb down and launch from there and do the shorter float from there to lime quarry.
 
I floated from Cicero bridge to the lime quarry last year. I didn’t give my self enough time after work and spent most the time rowing down river. It took just over 3 hours.

Heads up there were concrete blocks keeping one from launching with a trailer at lime quarry.

The corner under the rail road bridge can get skinny.

There was a log across the river 1/2 mile or so below the rail bridge.

I saw some guys do it on stand up paddle boards last year.
 
I've never floated the NF so take this for what it's worth, but I was on foot above LQ last weekend and it was really low. Another angler was floating down in a small kayak presumably from Cicero. He was able to get through the shallow spots ok, but just barely. I think a raft might have been a pain there, so I think your instincts to float from LQ down are right.
