Currently 53°. Dressed too warm for my daily walk. Sun disappeared, clouds appeared.
That means one thing…..
I did noticed how big the buds are already on the underbrush in the park. That stuff always pop open first in February. Maybe late January this year since it’s been so mild.

BYW, those red dot Central Cascades SNOTEL reporting stations... I know it's early but really hope we'll see the "cooler" that were forecast along with the "wetter" for this year

We’ve matched/set some record high temperatures the past week in western Washington. It’s not even Christmas yet, and there’s frogs croaking out back… strange to hear them this time of year.

Spring needs to hold off until I can get my motor fixed/replaced

My friend Rod has been fishing Basin lakes at least a couple times a week all "winter" (no ice). I'm waiting for his trip report from yesterday.

Meanwhile, back at the beach: I think I saw a hammerhead shark swimming along the shoreline. We see dolphins quite often and this big fish certainly didn't exhibit the dolphin-like swim we're used to seeing..... very dry in LA's South Bay.

Yup, first the destroyed trailer, now a knocking motor. Really hard not to just but a new SHO i can afford the 300 bucks a month but I really don't want to take on more debt right now.

How many hours on it? Sounds like a rebuild or swapping a power head is a viable option. Most folks can swap out a power head if they take their time and do their homework.

I've been looking at used motors, I have considered getting a rebuild kit and some machine work. We'll see.
