Ha! I just get the feeling that a 15' with 15hp is going to be a bit under-everythinged for cruising around the San Juans in/out of Bham Bay. As many folks have suggested: It's better to wait for the right thing vs. getting the wrong thing.

I got to drive my wingfoil instructor buddies' 18' Zodiac and it's so awesome for all of the reasons I love RIBs, but he's convinced a RIB is not worth the extra maintenance unless I'm in/out of the water all the time or actually taking the thing miles offshore on the regular.

I have a dumb Question. How do you affix these? I’m assuming they are screwed via the holes in but wondering wear and tear allowing the screw heads to eventually score the boat hull? I am likely way over thinking this but I like the look of these and the carpet on my trailer is start to go so these could be a great fix.

yes, the kits come with stainless screws...easy and fast to install. And the skids are bulletproof, they do not wear down regardless of use, so never any hull danger from the counter sunk screws.
 
I’m not sure he has it listed anywhere yet. I told him I’d try here. When I first listed it I looked at similar boats and thought the ‘PNW Member’ price was more than fair. Lots included and it’s very solid.

Are you thinking of selling your current boat and upgrading? Because I am tempted to offload my functional but smaller and not as nice a Smokercraft after buying this thing which looks pretty sweet.
 
I’ll be off the grid fishing for a few days so I’ll reply to the highest bidder when I get back…
 
I use mine as a crabber out of sequim.

The one item it didn't have that I needed right away was a trim unit... Added a CMC for $700 and a couple afternoons.
 
If you are on the fence over this due to the price, the owner (against my strong advice) is willing to take considerably less than the $4600 firm I was asking. He has someone looking at it on Friday so let me know. It really is a nice boat.
 
I would say, yes. I wasn’t a player but was tempted. There’s a ton of fun to be had in that boat. Lakes and Sound. Spent a lot of time with Dad in his similar Smoker’s. Big enough for medium weather, and small enough for one guy to manage.
 
That is a great deal. Someone will be stoked.
