Scientists gather at Lake Tahoe to protect the world’s largest trout

So, they got together at Lake Tahoe, and went on a boat ride, in a research boat to talk about trout that aren't in that lake?
I thought the Lake Tahoe focus was odd too, but there probably isn't a conference center at Lake Pyramid or Summit.

Sounds like it should've been an email...

Hi
There are some lct in Tahoe. Artificially propagated just like the ‘Mid. Several tribs have them too and the are re establishing in others. Ca Dfw is doing a ‘ya gotta put the fish native to the basin in the basin ‘ stocking program (my work manages a different lct lake) so at least for now the Truckee tribs are getting tons of lct. They are super yummy btw.

Tahoe to Pyramid, via the Truckee River, is closed system (pyramid has no outlet) that historically was the home for LCT. The plan all along has been to re-introduce the LCT throughout the system.
