Had some errands to run up north, so I took the boys with and we hit up one of my favorite north sound beaches on our way up north.
It was dead calm on the way up, but by the time we got there (about 1.5 hrs before the tide change), the wind had picked up and the white caps were plentiful.
I didnt have very high hopes because the boys dont usually last long in the wind, but the tide was pretty good saturday AM, so we we decided to give it a few hours and see if we could find some cutts (it's a pretty decent cutt beach for north sound).
I rigged the boys up with spoons and spinners, and off we went. Not too long into things, my youngest had a big swirl right at his feet. I didn't get a good luck at the fish, but I saw the swirl and it looked sizeable (foreshadowing). The fish started to play ball and we started getting a pretty decent amount of action from the cutts.

Then the bulls started showing up. My buddy long line released one after it hit right at his feet and I got a nice chunky one to the beach that also hit right at the shore. We had quite a decent stretch of action, either getting swirls at the beach, or hooking up and loosing fish. Fish were there and they were willing.
The highlight for me was watching my youngest let this beauty of a bull back into the salish to swim off.

Great day on the salt with the boys. Super fun getting them into the cutts, but even better to have a few salty bull sightings.
