Sad to have just found out that fellow member @Capt Insano Emeritis passed away April 1st, he was posting as late as March 29. Leslie H. (Skip) Enge was a prolific poster in the Garden, Painting, Poetry, Music, Humor and Arts threads here and in previous fora. I never met him personally, but I enjoyed his often quirky humor and artistry, particularly his nature and fishing related paintings. Some other forum members had noticed his lack of posting lately, perhaps some of you knew him personally and this helps in some way. One life is indeed not enough. Below the post and Facebook link to the announcement by his family.

Oh man, this hit out of the blue. Very sorry for Skip's family and loved ones to go through this sudden loss. Skip sent me a print of one of his landscape paintings last year; he was an artist indeed. He will be missed!

Thank you Skip!

Sad news, he was certainly a creative guy, who was passionate about his pursuits, and contributed a lot to things here.

RIP. He was a distinctive voice here. Looking at the garden thread, looks like he got a lot of plants in the ground before he went. Hope his family can continue enjoying the produce and memories all season.

Some of his paintings can be seen here:

Dang. This does make me sad and I’ll miss bantering with him on here. Helluva painter and gardener, I wonder who will get that tiny fly rod he built and liked to post about every 6 months or so. Pretty cool he had the chance to re-connect with the love of his life toward the latter part of it, which he also shared frequently how happy he was about as well.

Condolences to his family. We were of the same generation. Skip was a real talent and an honest man. He lived his life his way.

My condolences to his family. He was such a creative soul with his art, poetry, and gardening. I have been following Skip via Westfly and PNWFF for almost 20 years. I will miss, and already have missed, his contributions, especially his eclectic taste in music.
