Her tying videos are (or should be, anyway) for adults only. I happened across her videos when searching for tying Hippy Stompers.

I've seen a couple of her ties on YT before...I actually enjoy when the tyer says very little during the video, unless it's necessary to make a point, or to say "trriimm avay da vaaste"...

Also best manicured nails on YT...

...but real youtube videos must incorporate unintelligible mumbling, typhoon level coughing, household dogs barking, somebody wandering in/out of the room, shameless product hawking, and endless pandering for likes.
 
I think it is really interesting how she builds this fly using superglue and UV resin, with very little "tying materials in."

I like the extreme zoom in, also. Watched one the other day where the guy tied in front of his chest with a good foot of open air on either side of him in the shot. I couldn't even tell what the fly was.

There and apparently are a lot of guys tying flies that never had any hygiene training and apparently think that taking care of their nails is sissy. They have fingers, nails and cuticles that you would expect to find on a Neanderthal but seem out of place on a 21st century human. It is hard to watch videos of those bacteria farms when you just want to see how the fly is tied.

I suspect you're referring to the ASMR...or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response...used in her videos. Notice how she uses soft music, detailed visuals, and emphasizes all the sounds emitted during the tying process?

The daughter of a friend of mine does a blog where she uses ASMR frequently. She even did a commercial for Nike using ASMR, although I don't know if it ever aired.

Some people find it extremely sensual or erotic, others use ASMR to help them fall asleep. When I first saw the Nike video from my friend's daughter, I wondered what, exactly, was she trying to sell cuz I was very interested in sumpin' but it wasn't a sweatshirt made with some super space aged material ;)

Aaaaah... that makes sense now. I knew ASMR makes some people sleepy or relaxed but didn't realize others reacted to it in other ways.
I actually find ASMR "tones" by themselves kind of irritating, but combined with the amplified tying sounds it's calming.
Whatever flicks your fly, I guess!

I agree. And once you notice it's impossible to not notice again.
 
I couldn’t make it through, the soft whisper of the flies name, the loading of the spool in the bobbin had me in tears and I had to stop. I’m still curious about weaving a chenille body…Too funny 😂
 
I watched a couple of her videos last night and enjoyed them. A few times the overly exaggerated strumming of the nails on each subsequent bottle of cement she brought out was a bit weird. But the only thing that kept me awake half the night was the fact that she finished both of these beautiful ties with just a single half hitch! What? No whip finish? Those aren't going to hold up on the water. :D

Indeed...we must protect young minds from being lured into flytying through the nefarious and seductive use of ASMR.

All I know is that after watching several of her videos is that I woke up in Spokane's sleaziest gentlemen's club with a stack of folded dollar bills clutched tightly in my hand and a bedraggled old hooker demanding payment for a lapdance I don't remember ordering.
