Rain

Very dark
Very wet
The Big Dark has arrived
Very not good

Did anyone else besides myself enjoy the 3:00 sunset yesterday? 😂😂😂
SF

We've had a cloud deck of about 100' all day...
It's been lovely

It's hard to believe that 6 weeks ago folks were complaining about severe drought and smoke.
If only a week or two of rain could alleviate all the effects of a multi-year drought…

Hope so? IDK, looks to me from the key on the left like you're displaying data for the month of October, which, depending on what basin you're looking at, looks in Washington, precip was above the median, but streamflow was below the median--but again, looks like just for October. On the right is what the data depicted are shown relative to. I think.

I'm glad for the dents in the statewide drought conditions from the precip. We need it. I really hope for a good snowpack that sticks around like it used to, like somebody recently said. That really helps support streamflows through the summer. These recent warmer, dry springs and summers do a real double whammy by melting the snowpack out so quickly and increasing irrigation demand by a lot.

I hope so too! I played with the data selections to see how they affected the key and it may be that it is looking at the total YTD total to the Median at the end of October, from 1991 to 2025? Anyone else know more about this site?
Here is the reservoir volume without an option for a YTD look and it is low for much of the existing basin data.

Increased water use from population and irrigation?
