Lot's of rain here..the mushrooms near Mt. Baker are fixing to pop.

The mushrooms in Pierce County already popped something fierce. Got 8-10 lbs Sunday morning, leaving behind everything that wasn't a sashimi grade mushroom. I think the mycelium will be tired after this year.

Paige...I think that the lobster mushrooms are safe from the Sea Otters. Now actual Lobsters in Southern California, that is a different story.

Outside my front door I just witnessed an incredible rainbow that lasted and lasted. It ended at Hope Island. I like that. I've seen many rainbows and have always appreciated the beauty, but this one was a real doozy. Western Washington has some kick ass rainbows.

Jealous of any moisture. Wind, dust, blowing sand, pollen and dryer than a popcorn fart (I don't know if a popcorn fart is dry or not).

Anyone have a website recommendation that shows area-wide maps with recent weather history? Like the ideal would be a map showing total rain in the past week as a regional overlay, info like that. It's easy to find for forecasts, but I haven't been able to find it for past weather!

Coming down good in Tacoma the last 30 minutes or so. The downtown streets have minor flooding along the road edges and drains are loaded up, shooting water out of the man hole covers.

Yesterday's event dropped 0.58" in Neotsu on the Oregon Coast. Our local rivers have been hovering at or just below historical minimum flows so anything helps. There have been lots of dark chinook patiently staging in tidewater - we really need a good storm.

Hahaha - yes, 12 # leader, no tippet. I can still feel the burn at breaking off that fish using a damn trout leader.
