Rain

Large chunks of our yard are plants that would look more at home in central Oregon or Washington (more Portland-appropriate stuff is under the tree canopies). They don't need much water and have some pretty great blooms in the summer. Our edible plants are really the only ones that need constant watering anymore.

where i live they base our sewer bill on our water useage. I am thankfull that they base our bill on our winter use not our summer when my wife feels that everything needs more water than it actually needs or else i couldnt afford to flush or take a shower here.
This is my Japanese dogwood taken a few weeks ago. I don’t even want to show you what a few days of high temperatures did to it.

Real, live rain is falling here...
Not a lot, but measurable rain I would guess.
;)

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Some real rain is coming in Monday-Tuesday, about 0.5 inches for western Washington. Temps have been very pleasant this week, but will get chilly.

Chilly for some but for us long-term/native Washingtonians ---> just right! Been getting down to high 40's at night. So pleasant and also great to cool the house down. I will finish up painting parts of the house tomorrow....

Keep hope alive !!!

🤣

Cooler, cloudier conditions will be welcome either way.

Lol

Only some light sprinkles here this morning, may have been more last night, ground is barely wet however

Not even raining now.

This whole rain deal is really just fake news...do like the cool cloudy start to the day though.

The rain this morning reminded me that HS football and soccer are almost upon us. The smell is in the air for Fall sports to begin. And while some may feel it’s a bit early, it really isn’t…just about par for the course in my hometown (thinkin’ mid-1970s to early 1980s). Love this weather!! 😁

Just back from the inland empire in CA that was >95 every day and the AC that my mil claimed was ‘functional’ was not, till we had it topped off with coolant. G&Ts and a good cigar helped. I really 92DA1696-8FF3-4412-8E73-06D00560A665.jpeglove summer heat but loving being home in the PNW today.

This last week has been glorious. Low to mid 70's with a mild breeze. Perfect!

Now it smells like rain. Hearing some thunder now. Please rain! Just no new fires...

Edited: 1/2 hour later. Dayum... raining buckets. Lightning every second or two. Thunder is continuous. Winds are 30+ mph. Heck of a front moving through. Opps now no power. Dang!

Please no more fires!
