Skagit sure looks fuckered with the predicted crest within shouting distance of the record.
Stilly, Snoq, & Snoho, are also headed for major flood and a number of other rivers (Nook, Nisq, Cow, Chehalis, etc) forecast to hit minor or moderate flood levels.

Things could have gotten even uglier had all this rain taken place while we were having king tides. The next series of those starts on the 15th on Puget Sound.

@JudyM , I love this weather station! Yes it is backlit and has several light settings. It replaced a lacrosse station that I had had for about 8 years prior. I had almost decided not to buy a replacement but then my wife said she missed seeing the wind and rain amounts not just the temperatures.
So, without spending a fortune (and after some research) I switched brands and am very glad I did!

81F, sunny, no "W" (no fly rod either) and no rain at Highcliff Drive (Torrance, CA)
After my post @ 10:00 AM yesterday we got over 1.5" more rain to 2.21", plus another 0.29" since midnight.

2.23 inches total yesterday! Nisqually river at Elbe Bridge is the highest I have ever seen it! And Alder Lake has a ton of debris in it!!!

Hopefully this guy didn’t do that on purpose, but that seems to be the cases in many of these types of incidents.
If that was the case, they use valuable resources and put their rescuers at risk.
