I don't leave the house when it snows, although I have 4WD. It is the others driving that I worry about. Not worth wreaking my truck.

I saw Wednesday's forecast and got of my butt and blew out the underground sprinklers and covered the garlic bed with a bit of straw (maybe the straw will discourage the cat across the alley from digging and ----

I'm hiking into a small lake Tuesday, rainjacket in the pack. Looks like a perfect day to kick around the lake.

Thanks, Brian - the lake I'm hiking into needs some cold weather to help clean up the lake a bit. Usually this first cold snap turns it on (until it doesn't).

Watching those raised up big tired 4 wheel drive pickups passing me at 50mph knowing a corner is just over the rise in front of me causes me pause. I stop to see if tire tracks keep going straight. No surprises there...

I can feel the cooler air movin' in, and the rheumatism be actin' up. The dogs are just a sittin' by the fire, and them squirrels are a scamperin' around like it's armagideon or sumpthin'.
