Not yet, but a pretty good offshore breeze this afternoon, just like yesterday, is really driving up the temps out here...
Yesterday Quileute hit 97...the breeze was going pretty good here, today it's warmer with more breeze here, I bet we have smoke tomorrow.

On the bright side, a brigade of winter steelheaders was spotted crossing the Bering Strait recently. It's a sure sign that fall is on the way. When the stench of rotting humpies fills the air, the mornings become crisp, the moon is full, sunsets vivid red, and the Sky becomes riddled with cumulous clouds the most glorious time of year will be upon the few intrepid souls who brave the season of endless rain...

Just saw in KOMO there’s another homeless camp on fire, belching black smoke over the city. Probably not what your smelling on the east side though.

Smelled smoke last night and again right now. There is a fire in the Black Hills south of Elma, Steamboat has one and the 101/i5 interchange today got lit up. Bless these fire crews for cleaning up others stupidity.

Folks saw helicopters taking off with water from the lake today a few times.
 
Looks like the rain chances sort of evaporated...

Unfortunately, my failing A/C compressor drowns out the stereo in the old farm truck, so it's always windows down and volume up on warm days. Oh, yeah, the driveline clunks, too.

We are old. I had a subwoofer before they were cool and blasted Disco on my boom box! I was at a car show last week and saw an old Cadillac ('53, I believe) with an original turntable changer! It actually worked and was playing 45's. The needle was positioned underneath the record to allow gravity to keep it from skipping. Pretty wild.
 
I don't trust car thermometers :unsure:

Funny you should mentioned that.
In June of 2021 when we had the record temps, I got in my car after work. If I recall correctly, the inside temp gauge was reading something like 115°. I turned on the AC and the windshield immediately cracked.
So yes, I need to get it fixed. It’s been too long….and I got screwed by hot weather yet again. 😂
