I revised it with a NOAA explanation. The Seattle Times could use this explanation no doubt.
I’m a little confused what this topic has to do with climate change and the Seattle times. King tides are not caused by climate change. Climate change is causing rising sea levels. Rising sea levels means king tides will be more likely to cause damage to property. Has the Seattle times said differently? The Seattle Times could use this explanation no doubt.
Is that weird looking office building almost completely underwater??
My buddy who's an on-call oiler at the ferry's tells me the Jumbo MKII's are the nicest and his favorite to work on. Good craftsmanship!I helped build that weird looking office building way back at Todd shipyards…..history lesson!
Nice photo. The king tides on the Canal are tough on those old cabins, especially when the south wind roars. Certain Camano neighborhoods look like Venice during bad storm years too.The Hood Canal cabin I stay at frequently, on a King Tide last winter.
A shit ton of damage for the first time - and this cabin has been around for a loooong time

It’s getting out and enjoying being out that matters most.Hit my local beach from 2:30-4:35…..super calm, outgoing tide. A few jumpers but no love today.
