Puget Sound

Had planned to head south since I hadn’t been down there in a while, but car issues foiled those plans. Stayed local in MA 10 and found a few players. Wind wasn’t great but at least it was across my face to my casting arm.
Please note, I did not fish topwater. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

You cleaned that beautiful, PNW icon of a rig and she shit the bed on you, didn’t she. Serves you right. I can’t do it justice but bet @Wadin' Boot can. The revenge of MossBack The Great. Hell hath no fury like a fishing rig scorned..

The revenge of MossBack The Great.
I usually go by Mossback The Slightly Above Average, but I'll take it.
I've warned stonedfish about parking on my lawn, yet he mocked me...
Revenge is mine !!!!
😁

With a little care, it might have lived...

Be safe out there.

Reading the 2025-2026 LOAF there is no specification of a 1 fish limit for Chinook in Puget Sound this year. Is the 1 fish limited usually added externally to the LOAF to extend opportunity, or are WDFW trying a strategy of trading shorter seasons for more fish per day?

Got too warm out by 9 eh ?

Wednesday looks good...

I got out to my new favorite MA 10 beach and an old reliable beach on the Hood today and yesterday (12:30 to 4 on low tide for MA 10 and 11 to 2 on the Hood on a high outgoing tide) Didn't manage to get a single cutt into the net, however I did hook into nearly a dozen on the MA 10 beach. None of them were bigger than 6-8 inches.
Most of the action happened on an orange and pink over white clouser.
Although I did not get a trout into my net, Saturday's outing in MA 10 was well worth it as I drove past a pod of orcas on my way to the beach.
Hopefully my luck will change next weekend

Hit a local MA 10 beach this morning.
Too hot, too bright, too weak of tide and too calm of water, but a nice day otherwise.
A few fish to hand. Nothing special size wise.

When I take a quick snap fish pic I get what I get and get on with the releasing, and it's amazing how often the fish does a good job of hiding the fly like this one:) Glad you had a nice day, even with the sun out.
