Sweet, thanks! For those heading north through Bremerton, they have the best gyro place I’ve had in a long time if not ever. Highly recommend Gyro Star.
Nice work gents. I’ll be out on Wednesday….where and when undecided. Usually take one set up but gonna take two and experiment a bit. Wet wading will be in order for this adventure. Favoring am because it’s gonna be hot after 10am.
WW we will see what that 6 weight can really do ?
Great thread. Keep it going forward.
Sweet, thanks!
Always looking for good places to eat near fishing. Shrimp Shack, Skagit Valley Burgers, Geoduck Restaurant...actually such a list should be its own thread.
After this past week, @Kfish and I highly endorse the two set-up plan. Three might even be appropriate.Usually take one set up but gonna take two and experiment a bit.
I hear ya. Now that it's mid-August, I'm torn between stepping back to a 6wt or up to an 8wt for my backup. After this past week, @Kfish and I highly endorse the two set-up plan. Three might even be appropriate.

I've had a string of family commitments, but back in action next week. Don't know if I want to start taking ferry rides before or after the humpies stop running interference.![]()
Wow Matt, sorry. Just figured you were seeing some cool animals that I was missing, that's all.I don’t know man, birds and stuff, why are you and Nick picking on me?
Pigeon guillemots, maybe a cool duck, herons of course, deer if you’re paddling a river, and yeah…seals.![]()
I was thinking that too, though I always bring a spare. After this past week, @Kfish and I highly endorse the two set-up plan. Three might even be appropriate.
