I wish I had the time to head south. Local disappointed as usual despite one fish jumping. I’m not sure if my bad luck there has to do with the restoration project damaging the cutthroat population or the switch from spoons to fly making my catches more proportionate with the population
Nice work buddy. I love that tail across the net handle shot!Had to head south to do a some family stuff so I fished for a bit beforehand. Ended up getting a few. Nice day on the water.

This is from my friend's property on Oyster Bay, about 0.75 miles from Kennedy Creek. It's really quite a spectacular location.

After the tide came in we went out in the canoe. I saw a few Cutts jump, and there were lots of Chum around; none of which were in a bitey mood. Is there any secret to getting them to eat?
You'd better not! There is about 10-15' of relatively solid bottom, then nothing but boot sucking mud. I once watched a mother and juvenile river otter run across the mudflat and every thirty feet or so the mother did a toboggan slide just for the fun of it.Can you walk on those flats at lower tides or are they sink in type mud?

But you got the guides fishing rig, so there's that...Helped a friend who is getting into fly fishing.
I’d be a terrible guide.We got into a few.
