Hit a couple MA 10 beaches this morning and took a skunking. Nice day on the water though.
It was fun to watch this guy in action. He hopped down the beach, dove in and caught a nice Dungeness crab for breakfast. Hearing it crunching the shell while eating it makes you understand not to FAFO with one of these things.
Lots of litter. Nearly filled up my basket twice. Anyone lose their yellow rain pants?

Added some new glass pieces to my collection jar while walking around fishing.

Have found some, but not a lot. Red and yellow are the hardest to find around here.

The tail are fibers off an orange wire free brush with a couple pieces of orange UV Krystal flash. Marabou would work.

I think that fly is the one I want to copy for those Snake River shrimp, only in white with a touch of orange in the middle. Thx. Hoping I'll get a chance to get back on that next summer. But I'll probably forget by then though, seem to be suffering from a lot of CRS lately.
I had to think about what “CRS” might stand for, and then it hit me. That’s a funny one.

Slow day today. Finally some cooler weather. Glassy, flat water, no bueno.
Decent number of fish showing early, but the sun popped out, the tide petered out and the fish disappeared. Wore myself out changing flies.
Only thing that got bites was a small orange shrimp.

Cold, sunny day in the water with @Kfish today. Fishing was far from hot but we both hooked multiple fish and we hit a bunch of new spots we had not fished before. A couple paid off, more did not but probably not the best time of year to go prospecting. Although the fish were missing from some of the new water we hit, the water looked good and will be revisited when the fishing picks up. Caught a mix of rezzies and SRC. Like recent years, rezzies caught have been singles and random though we did mark fish in a few spots that I think were probably groups of rezzies. Been seeing a decent amount of bait too.
