In WA state at least, they shouldn’t expire.Well then, I wonder if prepaid movie passes (line Regal or AMC) that weren’t used for 2 1/2 years because of covid, are still accepted. None of them have expiration dates.
I think this is legally correct.Legally, it probably depends on how the sale was structured. Did he just buy up their inventory or the business entity and all it’s debts, obligations etc.?
I think this is morally correct as well (at least for me personally). That said, If it were me, regardless of the legal mumbo jumbo (sorry to use such technical jargon), I’d give a new business owner a break and a lose any unused gift cards to the old shop. Tough enough as it is being a new, small business owner, especially in the ff industry.

We gotta support these shops as best we can or we're going to lose them forever.
When PSFC was originally located in Des Moines, I remember some people coming in to pay for their energy bill. Perhaps the name change was a very long time in coming. The reason for the subtle name change is that they had some customers confused by the name "Fly Company" thinking they only sold flies, not everything else.
Ah I remember the Des Moines shop well. I bought an Orvis stripping basket that I still use and love today!!!When PSFC was originally located in Des Moines, I remember some people coming in to pay for their energy bill. Perhaps the name change was a very long time in coming.![]()
Very cool all around!Ok. Grand opening today until 4pm.
From my understanding he bought the inventory and that's it. Not sure if he'll completely change name eventually. I think he just wanted a definite change since it's not the same shop anymore.
This is now a veteran owned business. He was actually a part of my PHWFF program.
