You just blew my mind. A combo measurer/bobber! A ProofOros!
@Irafly would walk around with a bigger ball so he can claim SMALLER fish![]()
remind us; was that caught in the Salton or Aral sea?I really like mine.

I have questions....
What if the ball is retracted a little and not quite dangling?
Does the ball shrink in cold weather throwing off size estimates?
Will there be a Grateful Dead Version for 450 bucks?
Thoughts?
I just used that app to order Smith prescription sunglassesβ¦app was free, and I was somewhat amazed at the processβ¦Here is what im wondering:
I used an app once to measure my pupil distance for a pair of glasses utilizing a credit card.
Are you paying 30 dollars for a small foam or whatever it's made of ball where any thing of the same size would work?![]()
Damnβ¦Iβve never caught one over 30β in the Middle Forkβ¦Yes, yes you are. They claim the app is discriminating enough to spot the difference. But they also claim it won't confuse an orange thingamabobber (which is much smaller) for their "proof ball" and won't inflate the size of the fish due to the mistake.
I tried one with the app. First 42" cutthroat I ever caught on the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie was quickly followed by several more in that range.
ADDITION: I suppose if we have to trust that someone isn't gaming the AI in the app, then we should really just trust the person and save $30. The app is nice, though, in that it gives you water temperature, gauge info, etc, based on your gps location for free. No purchase required.
*Yet. You need a thingamabobber and the proof ball app. Or, for better results, an orange trout bead and the app.Damnβ¦Iβve never caught one over 30β in the Middle Forkβ¦
I think I just need a @clarkman flyβ¦or a tandem of themβ¦*Yet. You need a thingamabobber and the proof ball app. Or, for better results, an orange trout bead and the app.
All 42" of it!I think I just need a @clarkman flyβ¦or a tandem of themβ¦
