When I'm camping in a public place I adhere to the notion that my music is somebody else's noise. And the feeling is generally mutual. Although I've never been offended by an acoustic guitar and a group sing along, so long as it's my favorite Swedish drinking song. Or Irish drinking song; that's a good one too. You know, the one with the refrain: "You're almost ugly enough . . . to join the English Army."

I heard back from the park people. There is a "very large" fire ring at the group site. The park does not sell firewood. The convenience store just up the road sells firewood, but at $5-10 a small bundle. We are welcome to bring firewood from off site.

I don't have any down dead wood at my rented house (or a truck) but I do have a big (the biggest) Silky saw. Does anyone coming have access to dry firewood or down dead wood they could bring for two nights of fires? If not, maybe anyone who feels moved to do so should buy a bundle or two of firewood on the way in.

So bummed I can't make this! I have a Mayfly Project thing in the morning and then my wife & I are driving to Spokane to see my oldest and his fiance.
Always pumped to see my kids, but darn it I wished it was a different day.

And Matt, you cracked me up with the "I won't subject you to..." Same, however my selection is sad country/folk songs.
I have about 10 songs I can play and sing without any help from my phone...unless I've had a few. 😁 Amazing how a few beers and the pressure of people actually paying attention to my "performance" make me suck even more than I already do. :ROFLMAO:

I canceled my reservations. with my dominant hand in a cast I'm not going to be up to wrangling the trailer set up and packing things up to bring. It's too bad. I have a ton of stuff to sell/swap/give away. Definitely need to organize another of these when I'm healed up. Thinking along the lines of a North Sound Version and a South Sound version. Then maybe a Portland setting.
 
I have firewood. I can throw a box of it in my truck, but that won't be enough to keep it going for two nights.

It's an easy dolly ride from the group camp to Site 48.

My dory balances nicely on a two wheel kayak dolly so I can roll it down the road, loaded with gear, with one hand. I'm sure your canoe is the same!

Yah, but it’s even easier if I just pull it ashore a little tie it to a tree once launched. Besides wouldn’t you want it in your campsite as a decoration?

Hemming and hawing over towing my 16 footer up. That'd involve getting an out of state Washington fishing license and all that too... Hrmmm

I'm going to hang out and sleep at the group site. I'll keep my boat near me overnight, with my rods and gear in it.
