How many of you out there plunck ? Big rod , spreaders , spin and glows , the usual . I got serious about it last year and did better then my boat. Sit on your rear , get a tan and wait for the bell to go off . Just below Bonniville in May after it was reopened.

I do it for sockeye on the skagit, spin and glow with sandshrimp. I've taken to bringing friends with licenses and throwing out a spread for them while I swing flies. Otherwise I find it nearly intolerable.
I do a little plunking, but it's generally when I'm just looking for something to do when the water's too high to fish the ways I prefer. I haven't caught much that way, but there's a community of plunkers out there who tend to be easy-going people and are usually willing to make room and share info when a newbie pulls up.
If I lived anywhere near the Columbia, I would probably do a lot more plunking. Lots of delicious stuff to be caught in the "Big River."

Landed 8 springers last year , but I think some were summers , mid May.
