Krontonamo is going to the big city!!

We’re playing with Land of Wolves and Big Time on Feb 7 at the Waterfront in Bellingham and then Graham’s in Glacier on Feb 9.

We’re opening for The Accüsed AD in Seattle in March 22.

If you like obnoxious punk come check us out!

Our show at the Waterfront was rad, but I think Sunday's Legendary Banked Slalom closing party at Graham's was the rowdiest I've ever seen for our little town.

On Saturday March 22 my band Krontonamo's playing our first Seattle show with Land of Wolves and the Accüsed A.D.

Kraken Bar on Roosevelt.

We'll have our first album on CD and vinyl and the last of our mildly offensive shirts for sale. ;)

If you like loud music come check us out!

We're playing at Chair 9 in Glacier on Thursday April 10 with our buddies V-Max and the Two Strokes.

Also, this just in... we got into a Battle of the Bands so we'll be playing on Friday April 11 at the Lincoln Theatre in Mount Vernon! Pretty stoked on that considering Hot Tuna and countless other performers that I know and love have graced that stage. Maybe someday we'll headline ;)

Our set from the Battle of the Bands. We didn't place; once they decided to cancel the online vote we knew we had no chance against the high school bands and their parents and friends that were there in person.

Still a treat to play the Lincoln Theatre and get a nice video w/ nice sound out of the deal. :)

The dueling mirror image Flying V style guitars is pretty badass.

Other than a short dance set at the Alaska folk festival in April, last night was my first time back on stage in over 15 years. The bass, banjo, and guitar are waiting for the fiddler and I to finish a melody intro to "Redican's Trip to Appalachia".

You got the best gig of them all—the smallest, most easy to transport instrument, and a place to sit on stage! Genius.

Had a fun night out with my latest acoustic lineup.

We did three sets of tunes at Conerstone in Eburg. They have music Friday and Saturday nights on an outdoor stage and we hit the weather just right. It was hot during setup but when we started at 7pm the shade was across the entire seating area and stage.

Our new fiddle player flew back from AK this morning and drove straight to the gig. She’s a ringer so no problem, just setup her stuff and nailed it. No mandolin player this time out, she’s back east for a wedding but I’m hopeful we’ll string a few shows together later this summer.

@Matt B I read your tarpon trip report and wanted to let you know we did a tune inspired by Apalachicola

Double header yesterday in Kittitas Valley. First up, an afternoon show with Pygmy Rabbits at PUNCH Projects in Thorp. We had our full lineup and did two sets. PUNCH is one of my favorite venues with great staff and rotating art installations. Got to visit with @Billy and Liam who were in town for all stars baseball in Eburg. Thanks for coming to the show!

Afterwards we were approached by the music coordinator from another venue in Yakima to book something in the future. So much better to interact in person than cold calling.

As soon as we finished, I broke down my gear and drove to Cle Elum for an evening event at Dru Bru with my three piece dad band. We were into our first tune by 6:15 and had enough to roll through to 7:30. But at 7 the event coordinator let us know he wanted to start the prize raffle and gave us one more song. Not a problem! We wrapped it up and put in our pizza order. Dru Bru makes legit pizza.

I was home before 9. Next up, an afternoon event at Dru Bru’s Snoqualmie Summit location in July.

You guys were seriously awesome! I was very impressed!

Loved the tunes and the vibe/place!
Liam said he enjoyed it too.

I’ve had a nice string of gigs this summer and the last two were great examples of what makes it worth doing. Outdoor spaces in the summer playing for people who are out looking for a good experience. Good vibes are at a premium and it’s nice to interact with folks in that manner.

Over the last six weeks I've been involved with playing acoustic guitar, electric guitar & mandolin in the pit for a local community theatre production of "Shrek the Musical". A 9-piece orchestra has covered woodwinds (Flute, Piccolo, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet), Drums, Percussion, Guitars (electric, steel string acoustic,12-String, mandolin), Bass (electric, double bass), (2) Violins, (2) Keyboards (piano, hammond organ, various synth, pre-recorded & sequenced trumpet, horn, for space restrictions).

In mid-June I picked up my mixed guitar 1 & guitar 2 sheet music beginning the many-many hours of personal practice at home. There were 2 orchestra rehearsals over two weeks, then 7 run-throughs with the cast and tech crew. Today is my last of 10 shows over three weekends. I really like playing scores with a wide variety of styles and this one has Broadway dance numbers, ballads, R&B, Black Gospel, a Tango, Celtic, classical, and pop/rock elements. It requires many guitar and timbre - effects changes, with a couple of the numbers requiring two instrument changes. I used an amplifier - effects modeller board with a single silent cable to make it simpler and minimize the cable mess. It has been challenging for me but it is magical when the crowd is energized, the cast is playing to that energy, and the music is tight.

Maybe my last gig of the year last night at the Squirrel Tree near Stevens Pass. They ran our promo photo through an AI filter. Creepin’ me out!

We arrived as the rain was really letting go. Got our gear into our designated area and sat down to eat. The prime rib special was excellent and there was a good Kolsch on tap. Then we got ourselves set up and kicked off the music. They asked us to play 7-9pm but people kept rolling in and by 9 many were up and dancing. So we kept it going until 10. Lots of good costumes!

I was tucked back in the corner between the drums and a PA speaker. Not much room to move. Didn’t matter though, people were into it. I’d like to return next summer and play outdoors.

Between losing our regular theatre gig, and our guitarist having a kid, we haven't played out much this year. We did do a house party, and I got into a little DIY costume action. Pretty crafty, eh?
